Post subject: Aftermarket Gauges - Measurements?

How are after market gauges measured? If a gauge says is 2" is that just diameter of the clear lense or is the the diameter of the outer housing too?

It'll be the diameter of the mounting hole you need.

(so most likely the diameter of the main body of the thing)
