Is it hard to put after tachos into an ed v8 i want to put one in but i dont want it to be with wiring hanging around everywere

no, it's not hard. only a few wires, how neat you install it is up to you.

what about wires to the coil and that sort of thing, are there any precautions i really need to take

disconnect the battery, follow the instructions. there's probably only 4 wires.
