SuperCheap sells a harness that will fit into the AU to adapt another type player. You will not be able to utilise the switch in the column with a lot of playing around.
I will send you a diagram that should help via PM. :)

get a volt meter and check which one is constant power, and check which one is 12v power once ignitions on, theres your 2, if you dont have a volt meter check it with a light globe, 1 end earthed and the other to the wire your checking?

lol well i got it working lol was easy as piss, but i think im going to go and get one of those plugs seeing as the antena wont come out of hiding now.and maybe with the plug it will work and hopefully the controls on the steering wheel will work too.

your problem with the arial is theres a triggor wire for when the stereo is on radio the arial goes up, when you go onto cd it will go down, there is also a trigger wire for an amp, when i put my kenwood stereo in the one that was labeled for the amp turned out that kenwood f**k up and it was actually only for radio antenna so when i plugged my amp in it would only work when the stereo was on radio, but the arial stayed up even when the cd was playing, swapped them around and problem solved lol

too tired to explain... but check my build thread linked in my sig... I have BA buttons in my ED... Same unit will work for AU buttons...

IMO splicing wires is tacky... I always make a patch... Never gives issues, transfers between the same model of car and is instantly reversible... use the harness that comes with the CD player and buy the other one off aerpro to suit the car and join the two together... I have seen some terrible installs... Electrical screw connectors... Crimp connectors... Twisted and taped... Scotch locks... All are cheap, unreliable and nasty...

http://www.aerpro.com/p.php?pcode=AP1053

Plugs straight into your car...

Cheers,
Tim
