Hey guys,

Today while driving i put the passenger window down slightly and when i went to put it back up it wouldnt budge. I tried the drivers side and passenger side buttons and they both wouldnt work. I then tried pushing the button to lower the window more and that still worked (which pushed it down further lol).

Any ideas what is the problem? Or if there is another way to get the window up for the meantime?

Thanks

Power Window regulator is stuffed and needs replacing. Probably a stuffed cable.

there 'maybe' a problem with the window switches and the contacts are dirty? [on the AU here i have had to pull switches apart & clean em so windows operate properly] or as grumps said - a problem with the cable

Thanks guys, i have taken the door trim off and had a play with the passenger side switch but still no luck. If it is the regulator and a cable is stuffed, is there any way of fixing it up temporarily so that i can get the window up?

IF the switch can operate & bring window down ..... then there most likely a problem with the switch/switches .. which means the contacts NEED a clean

you can either spray a 'contact cleaner' in to the switch or like i did , removed switch, pulled apart & cleaned with a 'contact cleaner'. what you use is up to you. i used metho & a earbud [per switch]
