Hey, I have had 3 series 3 AU's and all of them have had issues with electric windows most of the time they go down, but will not go back up again, leave it for a few hours and they work fine again, intermittent problem but now i have BA's i have no problems. But my in-laws AU3 Ghia is having the problem, anyone know what this is / what the fix is for it. ??

pretty sure its dust buildup on the terminals for the power window switches. ford did clean them for you not sure if they still do, wouldn't be a hard job to do yourself tho.

its easy to do yourself. pull the switch out and dissasemble/clean them. Also lubricate the window tracks

Yep, dirty switches - there's a doc on AFF or aufalcon.com with full details on how to remove and dissassemble the switches.
