hey all.

i had an Autometer Autogauge tacho in my ef mont i just ripped it out and put it in exactly the same way in to my gf's el mont and it was working fine.

after i put all the dash back together i started the car again and the tacho was reading 300rpm higher then it should have been.

now when i rev it the rpm difference gets bigger as the car revs.

does anyone have an idea of what the go is?

is there a switch at the rear of the guage?
you might have bumped the switch from 6 cyl into 4 cyl.?
as that would make it higher than normal..

Is your ignition input directly from the ECU or the coil. That would be your problem right there if you took it from the coil.
