Can you switch seats from the BA xr series or the fairmont/fairlane into the falcon?

Did you mean, BA / BF XR6 / XR8 F6 seats fit into a BA futura? or AU / EL / EF / ED / EB / ED?

If BA to BA they should just bolt in as i highly doubt that the floor pan was changed from XR to Futura.

If BA to AU don't quote me but apparently they will bolt into the AU Falcon and Fairlane.

With BA to E - Series you need to modify the seat rails to bolt up correctly but note to be 100% legal should be Engineered.

au is the same storie as e series .. need rails modified... ba swap is fine but if your seats have built in airbags you cant use standard ones as it will make your car un roadworthy and prob mess with your arbag system

The BA Fairmont/Fairlane seats also have a memory controller underneath them, which has some additional loom requirements.

in a BA to BA scenario, you will have trouble getting power to a 6-way powered memory seat if you only have the loom for a 4-way powered seat, because the Memory module even controls the manual seat movements.

ba xt will take seats from a ba futura, xr and fairmont with no issues at all. for fairmont ghia simply swap the bases over or you need to run new body looms to run the power adjustments. also watch for upgrading to seats with side airbags. simply cable tie the airbag wiring under the seat and pop your old non side airbag loop plug into the plug holder. fairlane seats will fit in the front but parts of the rears are a different size as i believe its a long wheel base. ive put leather fairmont ghia seats in mine by swapping my drivers seat base and side bolster. took me all of about an hour from start to finish to get old ones out, new in and drive off.
