I want to get a MOMO steering wheel for the new wagon to kick things along in the mod department.

Is the same procedyre as EL steering wheel change?

Do I only need the wheel bit and not the cruise and stereo buttons?

Just undo the airbag connection, take the bolts out and undo the boss nut and change the wheel over?

I'll have a good look at it once I pick the wagon up on Monday and take some pics for you.

Yeah no rush. I don't really want to pay more than $400 for a FPV momo wheel so I'll have to wait for a deal on Ebay.

you will pick up an xr6 wheel for much much cheaper then that and still have such a better feel. im waiting for the 1 on mine to wear out b4 i get the fpv 1. $400 is alot of money for a steering wheel.

swapping them is sorta like the EF/L
the wheel is heavier. we removed fuses and both battery leads and let it sit for an hour

remove the bolts retaining the airbag and CAREFULLY take it out removing the plugs and steering wheel controls which break surprisingly easy. loosen the wheel but dont remove the bolt. while its loose wiggly the wheel free then take out the bolt and pull the wheel off. if u have a racing helmet or something similar it doesnt hurt to put it on, u will break your teeth

put the new wheel on (a few people have put it on backwards) and then its a reverse procedure
