just wondering whats the difference between all the icc units, ive got the standard one in a teri and ba, with the little screen with orange background lights
is there a standard one with blue background?
standard looking one with colour screen, not sure of background colour
another one has the fairmont look with non colour screen
and there must be a fairmont with colour screen
which ones take reversing and dvd input, do they take pc too?
thanks

There's a few different models of ICC.

essentially because it's compoentised, you can get combinations of...

single of 6 stacker CD
base screen, mid screen, high (colour) screen
manual a/c, auto climate control, dual zone auto climate control.
white, green, orange, blue lighting

some combinations aren't available, eg. with a 6 stacker you get the mid or colour screen.
dual zone climate control you get the colour screen only.

Only the colour screen, can have rear view and/or satnav added. To add dvd/pc to the colour screen you use the satnav input, it's a funny combination of NTSC RGB component video. You generally need a converter (or special video card) to feed it the right signal to work.

As for lighting, you got what matched the rest of the car. white for higher series, green for pov packs, orange in some territory models, and the blue only in XR's and FPV's.

HI all
I am about to Install a Premium icc out of a 06 XR6 Sedan into a 06 XL ute...... Reading thought all the posts on the subject Is it correct if I DONOT disconnect the battery it wont need reprograming?
Or because I am upgrading it will have to be reprogramed?
I know I have to use the BEM and Remote sensor in the car is there anything else I need to do...
Thanks Barnzey

IIRC FTG send their second hand units to ASL to have the security function removed before he sells them :)

Sorry to drag up an old thread/topic which is been done to death but.............I'm in a similar situation as the OP. I have an 03 BA XR6 ute with the poverty pack single zone ICC. I picked up a BF Premium ICC yesterday and after reading this thread, would I be correct in saying that if I use the BEM from my current ICC and put it into the Premium ICC it should work??? Or is there a 50/50 chance I will need to get the radio coded? At this stage I'm not worried about not having the dual climate control, temp sensor or auto headlight function working. I can frustrate myself with that later!!

Yes you will need to get the ICC coded (unless it's unlocked). Using your original BEM will allow you to start and drive the car.

Hey all, apologies as above for bringing up an old thread, but i have a BA XR6 auto that I have the computer, ICC, and both ignition and door barrels in and am converting it to manual. I have a manual computer, ICC, barrels etc and want to know if i can swap the manual BCM into my dual zone ICC or do I need to find an up-spec ICC out of a manual? I am yet to swap my AC box over so have no AC atm and have the dash, wiring loom, rear bare (reverse sensors) out of the fairmont ghia and am hoping that swapping all this over will get me on the road again.

Any advice appreciated

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone could give me some advice I recently. Changed from the standard ICC to the premium in my Ford territory but the screen will not work at all. The person I bought it off swears that it works and even provided photo proof.

All the controls ie aircon, radio buttons just no screen at all.

Thank you to anyone who lends a hand

Did you replace the complete unit, including the CD player?

We retained the cd player from my ICC as they were both single cd units. Will that cause an issue? Mine looked in much better condition.

Yes, the colour mono cd players are different even though the plugs fit the same. on the underside the mono screen cd player it will say LO, colour screen will say HI.

So reading the thread more thoroughly it seems I need a visit to Ford. What a shame.

The aircon isn't working either I assume that is apart of it all?

I have noticed a big black mark on the screen as well unfortunately so another issue I'll need to look into.

So i managed to put it into test mode and all the buttons are working in reverse ie 6 is 1 etc.. I'm at a loss I think I'll put the standard one in and just leave it for now. I do really like I the idea of it though
