was putting a sound system in my el ford falcon and now the boot release wont work from the button in the car or on the keyless remote help please?????

Check that the switch in the dash is plugged in correctly. The connectors for the fuel and boot release can interchange, so make sure you have them both in properly. If that doesnt help, maybe you have blown a fuse somewhere. Failing that, open the boot with the key and make sure the cable is moving freely etc. Goodluck!

The cable only relates to the key not the button, the button runs a wire through to a solenoid.
Have you checked the solenoid wires still plugged in properly.

Also check partway along as it unplugs so you can remove the boot atleast in an au, I assume ef/l aswell, encase you pulled it apart further back.
