Simply unscrew the old T-Bar Anticlockwise. Might be a bit tight.
Theres also a little nut on there that lets you adjust where the T-bar is facing.

Just screw on screw off. If you need to, use a spanner if tight..

you might need to change the length of the rod in the middle of the shifter tube depending on the new handle

Find a bigger rod or make it smaller by cutting it...

Basically, as long as it doesnt change gears without having to pust the button in, and yet still moves with the button in, its fine. What sort of handle did you get?

Its a similar shape to the stock one, just slightly bigger and more rounded than square, black leather stiched across the top and down the middle and grey leather down the side very, very similar colour to my EDs interior with a crome botton on the side. I'll post a pic later when I get home. :D

They should all jsut unscrew...

Just like any screw, hold onto the handle, and turn.. it should start turning.

Cheers

You were right on the money there Interceptor. Had to add 2cm to the length. This how I done it, Got a wall plug, cut it in half, drilled out the centre until I got the right depth to make the push rod 2cm longer.... yep a wall plug...works like a charm... :D

Excellent!
Good to see people improvising still, why go changing random stuff around when you can utilise what parts you already have available!
I explained this to some guys on FM v1.0 that you could just extend the rod, pretty sure it worked well too.
Same deal with peoples chrome button coming off the shifter on ef/el Ghias and feel they are too tight to cough up for a new one ? try different things to fix it..

Where there?s a will there?s a way!
