WTF, the good ol thermos flask doesn't quite project your true closet sexuality?

Just get a car portable power station if you're in that homosexual coffee machine in the boot thingy... http://www.ebp.com.au/products/portable_power.html

my pick but it all depends on the sizing of your coffee machine power demand.

I bought a couple of thermos cups ($8 each) from the reject shop a while ago, they're like most, except they do also have a heating element in them that plugs into the ciggy lighter, and it surprisingly works well keeping your coffee hot.
IIRC d**k Smith's had similar, but they wanted $30+ for the cups - bit pricey (but then most is at d**k Smith's)
Might be worth looking for similar, and just making a brew before you go, or calling into macca's along the way and filling the thermos cup, or keeping a full thermos flask on the way.
Might be the cheaper option than machines and inverters, etc.

gotta love the inability on these sites to answer legitimate questions.
the way i read this he means so he can make coffee with the machine on a week or so holiday, not to replace a thermos on the way there...
fair enough for "why won't my car bag up..." style threads but this is just digging for arguments now..
ridiculous

Just put a tap on the side of your overflow bottle, don't run any coolant.

Get cup with instant coffee. May as well be international roast, cause its gonna be s**t anyway. Crack the tap, the pressure the cooling system is under will be sufficient to complete your brew.

Add milk and sugar to taste.

Gotta admit, its gonna look pretty Malcolm Douglas style to make a man coffee involving your cars cooling system.

I loved his bush cooking. Rough and ready, thats how s**t gets done on the road.

A coffee machine in the boot.. Bit to pimp my ride / Homo for my taste.

an invertor in the car is one handy bit of gear...

Had one in my AU for powering my laptop and other small stuff...
It was only a 300W job but it did what I wanted to do....

One of the things to consider when putting a big invertor in your boot is powering the sucker...
You will need a really good battery (possibly 2) and a good alternator (high Amp) to charge them. Battery wont last long (mine lasted 2 hrs on the 300w) before it starts beeping due to low voltage (was the work car tho) and you had to be pretty quick to start the car again....

Good idea but advertising the fact its for a cofee maker.... priceless

Geez, hasn't this thread turned to s*** all of a sudden.

All I wanted to know is what it would take to run a coffee machine in my boot. Im NOT gonna run a bloody cafe from it. Its just handy to have when Im on long outings ffs. I will also use it for other things as others mentioned.

F me you mention the word coffee machine and all of a sudden you get labeled a homo.

Thanks to those who had the decency to reply a serious comment.

Not a prob, if my cooling system coffee machine works i'm gonna patent that f**k! Don't consider it free advice if you proceed with my product.

You could use your exhaust manifold as a sweet cup warmer too.

i never said ya a homo, far from it

btw why go to the effort of a big inverter

cars run 12v
this was my 1st google search

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/WAECO-12V-MOBITH ... 4156606b12

12v coffee machines are plentiful, much smaller than what u after as well!

Thanks Frank. Didn't mean to come off as a p**** but I wasn't expecting comments as displayed above by some.

That link could be an option, and I will consider it based on the fact setting up a dual battery inverter system is f****** expensive.
