Does anyone have neon lights hooked up to their doors? ie: open the door, that footwell neon comes on?

How did you hook it up?

A mate volunteered me to help him put a setup in a freinds car, and we are just susing out differennt opinions.

anyother schemes?

thanks

sorry, should be more specific, i got drafted into playing with a daewoo, poverty pack! hence, no footwell lighting!

i suppose if falcons have the wires already there, then everyone proly used that then. :? ohh well, we have a scheme anyway, just is a lot of d**k around...

by the way, does an EF gli have the footwell wiring stuff? is that on the back doors to?

(edit: i know i know it is a daewoo, but it is fun playing with electronics and cars, and she will pay for everything, as long as my mate and i can get it to work!! :P )

no - you need to run the wires yourself. only fairmonts & above have the footwell wiring

Its also a bit more difficult in Futura and above to get it to fade properly with the other interior lights, as well as come on when smartlock in activated by remote.

For the daewoo, i would look at splicing into the dome lamp circuit, from memory they have one of these.

Just a tip for the daewoo, they have weird a** electronics. They dont just have a +ve and Ground for their lighting, they have 2 +ve voltages with enough space in between them to light a bulb. Dont go grounding one end of a lightbulb in a daewoo to the chassis like you would in a normal car, sparks ell fly

It can be done, it took me and a mate ages with a test light and heaps of swearing but it is possible. If i can remember how we ended up doing it i will post, but off the top of my head i cant
