A while a go I installed a trip computer into my EB and it all worked fine until I installed an EL ECU, at which point I gave the trip computer to my mate to put in his EB.

When we installed it in his it didn't work properly, it always reads DTE 0km, and the instant fuel level hovered between 60-99 pretty much all the time.
The only thing that seems to work is the avg km/h.

He wrote off that car, so we salvaged the trip comp, and put it back into my EB that I'm selling to him - and it does the same thing?

Don't think I could have gotten the wires wrong, because I only just tapped back into the ones I used before when it worked.

Reckon it's dead, or have I f**k up somewhere?

considering theres only one wire that carries all the data used by the trip computer, that being fuel level, speed, distances etc, i would assume that something has either shorted out or become damaged somehow (probably by static) within your trip computer.

because ur avg speed works, you have wired it right, so probably time for a new one. they are only like 70 bucks off ebay these days anyway.
