I have recently purchased a new cluster for my EB2 Ghia, it's from an ED XR6, it all works, well the gauges do. Now my old one says 'Fairmont' I6 underneath and the new one says 'Sports' I6, now will all my low coolant, washer etc lights still work? I've noticed the ABS light no longer shows up, I'll check the globe out later. The cruise and power lights are there and you can still adjust the brightness.

So whats the difference between 'Fairmont' and 'Sports' my old one was Presmartlock if that makes a difference.

No difference, I think they just put Sports on it so the correct one would go in at the factory (when the dash goes in, the car doesnt resemeble anything)
The XG XR6 got a different cluster though, it had white characters instead of orange - and it was an E-Series cluster.

i'd say that your new cluster is not ABS compatable which is the reason it may not light up

That's gay, the little ABS light is there just doesn't light up, I thought they'd all be the same, might have a play. Is there anyway to trigger the low coolant sensor without actually having low coolant?

i guess you could pull the sensor out. then you would have low coolant as it would leak lol.

ok ok. So the cluster IS ABS compatable then. Does your car have ABS? (stupid question) are you sure its the ABS light your looking at? There are actually two brake lights. (Check Brake, Check ABS) Other then that i'd say it would be a blown globe :?

All the lights should come on when the key is on ignition, its a self test so you know if the bulb is blown.

hey - question for the guru's around here...

The back of the cluster in my XR8 has a sticker that says "Sprint"
My car is not a sprint however.

did all XR8's get that??

and.... the redline in the orginal dash facia was 5500. but I spoke to a friend with an EB XR8, and his was at 5000. Is that a difference between EB's and ED's, or is that cos my cluster says "sprint" ??
