As the title says,
Just wondering how the door trims from EF/EL line up to the EA/ED dash.
Particularly how they sit with the door closed around the corners (where the speakers are) and how they match.

Anyone got some photos they can post?

Perfect dude, just what I wanted to see. Legend!

Yeah, I was just curious how the speaker cover on the trim met the edge of the dash.
It actually almost matches the factory lines.

From what I've read/heard, the trims "bolt on" so to speak with no modification. Is that Correct?

Yes, and No.

Read This.

However a mate how just did this conversion on his EB11 found that the holes for the white screw inserts were already in his car. I doubt that yours will have them though.

Cheers

They do, except for the 2 screws on the outside edge of the door trim (where the lock catch is, not the hinge side). Would have to take a pic of both examples to explain properly, but you probably get what I mean :?

Cheers BenJ.

Man I love your bonnet.
I used to have a pair of the bonnet flutes off an XB.
Always thought of the idea and wondered what it'd look like on an e series.

ef/nf trims have the 2 screws that dont line up..

So BenJ dosnt define if his trims are ef or el, and I didn't see any notes on that thread about these 2 screws, so I assume it's not a big issue that these don't line up and I'll still have the same result?
Or should I just find some EL ones to be safe?

I have EF Fairmont door trims as the base.

The two screws along the B Pillar edge don't line up, and I have not bothered using any there. Still works fine.

Cheers
BenJ

I was visualizing it as just the screws that hold the trim to the door.
Didn't think it'll be an issue, lol, I only have 4 screws in my driver side ATM and it's fine, win I was fixing the window winder, my daughter decided to sneak off with my screw tin (the removable plastic tray from the centre console), tip it out somwhere and bring it back empty. :-).

Should be easy enuff though, now I jus gotta decide what ones I want...and find the car.
