I'm starting to think that maybe the BEM is the problem. I can't see any other reason as to why it wouldn't be working properly.

there should be people wrecking EF XR's on ebay just ask them if they have a working BEM shouldnt be anymore than $50 + post for a good tested BEM
and if its not the BEM it never hurts to have a spare BEM as when you need one you cant get your hands on one i know that from personal experience

Yeah I'll hit up the FTG auto salvage today and see if they've got a working BEM.

Ran into some problems with the new locking system.
All the locks synch perfectly, when I use the car remote all the locks go up and down together. However, even though the front door lock sounds like it's working, they don't actually lock. Nothing happens when I use the key to manually lock the door either. When I open the door with the remote, I get a double click sound from the BEM. When I lock the door with the remote, I get a double click sound. Also, whenever I start my car, I get a constant ticking sound and when I put the indicators on, they're all spastic. Would this be a faulty BEM unit? |
