Main issue will be Plug compatibilty - the HighEnd dash plug set is different to the Sports (aka Mid series) dash. You'll need to do a bunch of wire splicing.
To do that you will need better detailled wiring diags than in the Ellery or other aftermarket books.... i.e. use the Ford Factory Manual diagrams.

There may also be a issue with dash lights. The brightness control is different between High end and Mid/Low end models and may need special consideration.... not a biggie though.

Otherwise all the inputs (except dimming) are the same.... just an issue of connectors. Suggest you get the diags and then work it all out on paper, double check it before doing the work. Oh, and make sure you solder any splices as twisted wires will give problems in the medium to long term.

If you need the wiring pages drop me an email and I can send scanned copies back.
