Can EF/EL center console bolt straight into an ED. If so is it easy and what needs to be done.

I have seen only one done and it didn't look too bad but, many are saying that the AU console is a better fit. The only problem is figuring out where to put the Power Window Switches. If you have an Auto you will also have to add the AU shifter..

It won't fit under the bottom of the dash without modding the insert piece.
The EL console is designed to flow into the EL dash. You can make it fit, but it looks like crap as shown in the pic below, when I was halfway through my interior conversion.  Cheers BenJ

You can graft the EB/ED console front to an EF/EL console.

Great find Snap, I did a search yesterday and didn't come up with a thing, good that you have a great memory. I will file this for future use on MiniSmurfs ED.

Thanks Dude. IMO the EF/EL console looks way better than the AU one. There is also a thread on how to improve the EF/EL cupholders.
