Hi All, Are EF and EL dash looms different or are they just straight swap and plug?

Thanks, Tony

Sorry to kinda hijack this thread - but what if he were to get the EL BCM to match the EL loom in the dash. Would that all plug in to the connectors near the airbag module and work as normal?

I am asking as I am wanting to put a EL Ghia PAB dash into an EF GLi

i got it :D the car is now running and now back for modding after being stuck at the bottom of my driveway pulled apart.

a_total_tool, if you have the entire climate control and all from a ghia, pull the GLi apart (like i did as i have a WAGON!) and take out old manual climate control, install new stuff and everything else should fit except for one socket. when you pull the dash out the WHITE socket next to the orange on needs to be changed (like i did). my recommendation, buy some wire tap connecters from supercheap or your local spares place. go to engine side of the loom, match up all wires and connect then you have both ef and el engine bay sockets there. everything else it straight swap

Cheers,

Tony

if yours is a EFII it'll have the wiring for the PAB, if not grab the loom from any EFII. its not the dash loom its the loom that connects the cruise module and goes through the firewall. if your car has cruise make shore u grab a cruise loom. if not it's a good opportunity to add cruise at the same time.
