Hey guys,
I have decided to rewire my NL lights and am running it through the rear wiper switch (found on wagons) and also the driving light warning light just above the smartlock light on the dash cluster. Here is the document on how to do this

http://www.fordmods.com/forums/Changing ... s-d14.html

Now i installed it into the car but only to find it doesn't work, I have tested the diode and its fine, and have continuity right throughout the circuit, the globe is fine so im scratiching my head to why it's not working. has anyone had this problem before?

Cheers

Is the diode required in place??

Did you run the + signal to pin 6 or 8? for a fiarlane cluster, it should be pin 6 of the left hand side of the left connector (all it says under the 'adding fog light' section is pin 8 - but this is for low/mid series clusters)

It's an EL Fairmont so mid series. I connected it up to pin number 8 on the left hand side

silly thing to check, but do you have the key to ON not ACC when checking the light?

i installed this light into mine a few weeks back and i couldnt work out why it wasnt working and then i realised i should turn it to on.

You can put a shorting link instead, but the circuit needs to be completed.

Have you applied 12v to pin 8 to see if the bulb lights up ??
You should be able to do this without removing the dash cover, instruments, etc. Plenty of nearby spots to get batt 12v from too.
