Hey guys, got an EF GLi not long ago, the Aircon doesnt work. All the controls work correctly, pressing the buttons they light up, and the interior fan works. Sometimes the thermos come on when i try to turn the aircon on. The compressor isnt engaging however.
In some cars, the A/C light will flash if there is a problem such as low gas level etc. Is it meant to do this? It just acts normal except the compressor doesnt come on and no cold air. Likely to be gas, or maybe even a compressor swap? No signs of leakage. Cheers guys! |

the falcons have a safety switch. and if there is not enough gas in the system it wont engage the compressor, will need a regass to fix the problem.

can you turn your ac pump by hand - might be seized

Hmm Il have to try that. Cheers mate. The clutch isnt engaging at all to make the drivebelt turn it though.

if pump is shot it won't be able to engage - i know this because it is how my AC system is right now
 lol
