Hi, i am interested in swapping the gli display in my ef for a fairmont type with volt and oil pressure guages, is this a straight swap electricaly?

Yes.
read: http://www.fordmods.com/forums/Changing ... s-d14.html You require a Oil sender to replace the Oil Switch. Voltage will work straight away. There will be some other changes like: lower coolant light (will flash if globe not removed) Fitting a Fairmont cluster in a GLi or Futura requires a resistor to be solder to the cluster, XR, Police are a straight swap. I have a few police clusters with various Ks' is you require one.

I'm not to keen on losing the low coolant light so might go for an xr display, if i have no luck will get back to you on the police displays. and pic resized.
