Okay, I know there's been loads of topics already about this but just to verify when wanting to mod my 98 el falcon dashboard to blue with the t5s do I just swap the globes over? Or do I need to put new globe holders in to make it look good? And do I need to change the standard needles over?

Next question is when changing the odo light over do o just take out the screen and replace with a piece of paper?

And last thing is how do I change the air on and demister lights over as well

Thanks

You'd need ef globe holders mate. The el holders are sealed to the globes so you can't change them.
Because you're going blue, it doesn't really shine through the orange needles. You'd have to get ef needles or rub the orange off your el needles with nail polish remover.
With the odo light, yes, any type of thin coloured paper should work. check the link for more info on that: documents.php?d=25
Rear demister is simply take out the switch and use a flathead to twist and remove the globe on top. With the aircon, im not sure how the standard 1 works, but i assume it would be similar to the Climo unit: remove facia, unto 4 screws at each corner of the unit, remove and their should be 2 or 3 globes plugged in the back.

hope this helps

My DL was straight swap...pull out the old white bulbs and put the blue back in the same holder with the exception of about 2 i think which were smart lock and something else....thats not to say someone had gotten to mine first before I had it though.

One of the guys on here put alfoil all through the back of his and it seemed to make it look a lot "bluer" than mine so its food for thought.

I tried a lot of different papers and the best one for me was plain old baking paper

If you look around there are a few threads on it with a lot of detail.

if you're handy with solder and iron that's another option
just make sure you put them on with the correct polarity :)
