I have a set of woodgrain pieces from a set of EL Ghia door trims, And like most sets these days the mounting tabs are broken. What do people use to stick them back onto the door trims? I tried double sided tape but once the car is parked in the sun all day the tape loses it's adhesive properties and the woodgrain pieces fall off. Would something like liquid nails be okay to use?

I've used Silicone as it works well with the shock of closing doors and heat. The liquid nails tends to dry out and crack in the heat...but silicone... like the proverbial to a blanket! Just give them a few hours to dry with some tape holding them in position.

Finally got around to fitting the woodgrain panels to my door trims this arvo. I used silicone as recommended and it works perfectly. This is what I used...

silicone worked for me too - but use the neutral cure stuff else your car will stink out
