i want to get a police ex chaser dash but i also want to change the eeproms so i can keep my kms,

no i have heard that the special features like speedo tuning is stored in the eeprom. is this true will it stuff up the whole purpose of having a chaser if i change the eeprom?

yep, everythings in the eeprom!

the only benefit is....... the 2km increments on the dials!
you WILL not have the calibration function if you install ur factory eeprom
