I'm a little confused did you lose a headlight?, or a light on the dash?

I think he means a dash ight has blown.
Its quike if you know what your doing..

1. Facia needs to come off
2. Unplug the looms from switches, trip comp etc
3. Change the globe

I dont know what globe has blown..climate control, trip comp or cluster?

If its the cluster you have to undo the 5 screws and unplug the looms and take it out and change globe.

I dont know what globes they are so some one else can help you out.

Hope that helped.

I don't remember either of our ef's ever having that switch lighting up.
I personally can't see where a led in it could've been.

Maybe something previous owner added?

The high-series light switches don't light up, so I doubt that your GLi one ever did! :)

they definitely dont light up. the white ticks are just painted on, not even semi-transparent plastic like the demister button for example
