Ok iv got a EL Fairmont and heater is not working. just blows cold air. when i change the temp on the Climate control from 16 to 30 i can hear something going on behind the dash but no heat.

were do i start looking

change your heter tap it will be pasenger side behind engine you will get to it from the ground

How hot does your engine run? If it's running cool all the time your thermostat is stuck open, if its running hot make sure the coolant is topped up.
Heater hoses or core could be blocked. Blend door could be sticking (behind the dash, P.I.T.A. job) Or there is a vacuum leak in the C/control system.
But 1st off make sure the thermostat is working properly and you have the proper amount of coolant in the car. Then start looking at the other problems.

colant is fine and car heats up and runs as normal thermos come on when they are suposed to.

i will check heater tap if i can find it then see how it goes, not really wanting to pull dash out but ill do it if i have to

look at a few other post.

i put the CC in diag mode. Hold "mode" and "off" then turn car to acc. heard lots of weird noises and then wala burning hot air in my face

not sure what was wrong but seems to be working now
