Hi guys this may be the wrong place to post this but i need help . i have a 2001 xr6 falcon which in the last 3 days wont lock the door i lock it it unlocks straight away .. interior light on .. (yes all doors shut) as i drive along the light goes on and off - maybe lose conection? HELP

Check your door light switch, I bet it is jamming on. When the car senses that the door is ajar, door light switch on, it will not lock. Open the door and push the button in and see what happens.

I would do that but its a 2201 falcon there no door switchs .. i have checked all acuators and nothing.. as i drive and go over bumps the light goes on and off electrical short maybe.. help

That is your issue then. There must be some sort of switch which activates the interior lights when the doors open.

Wow is your second car a delorean? Just how did you get it back from the future?? Is a 2201 falcon fully sick? Sorry...
What did you do the last time you had issues with it not locking?? Did you fix it? Or has it just continued to be an issue? Looks like you’ve had a few electrical gremlins… Have you done any stereo mods? Spliced into any wires for power etc.? Hope you get it sorted.  Cheers Paul. |

Cheers Paul. I was trying to help! Yes I made a joke… I did apologise and then I went on to ask for more info… What do you want from us? Just to have the answer to all your life’s problems?? You post a thread almost 12 months ago about the same issue... What did you do then? Or have you just let it fester?

hi guys i was talking about benny .. i just f#$%^& angry with this car i love it to bits but it s**t me.. i really like ur input and help.. and that post year ago i fixed it with acuator but not so lucky this time there talking bem

That was going to be my next suggestion... Should be able to pick something up on ebay. Dont know much about Au's but if its like the Ba you'll need to take it to ford. Think they refer to the as BCM in the Au.
Time to update me thinks. |
