Hi all!
Just purchased BA Fairmont Ghia woodgrain dash trim. 3 pieces in all! Managed the small middle section near steering colum, But the other 2 with the vents & dials wont budge.
Tried poping vent out still no luck.
Anyone know how to get them out??????????
Dave..........

They definitely just pop out, as I've replaced mine myself.

They're held in by plastic clips. Put your thumb inwards on top of the trim, then your four fingers underneath and use the tips of your fingers to pry it out.

It's a bit of a pain but it'll eventually come off.

Hi, so do the vents come out with the trim or must vent come out first?
The long passenger side trim & shorter drivers side trim both have clips in centre but ringed clips on outer ends that I assume the vent locks into? :?

No, the vents do not move. The trim has holes in it to completely go around the vents.

If you're having problems, use a thin flathead screw driver to gently level them out. Start from the sides (where the vents are) and not at the bottom. They will just pop out if you apply leverage to where the plastic clips are.

You have to lever out the dash end panels next to the vents to unclip the very ends of the dash spears....open your doors and you'll be able to get to it easily. Once the end panel is lifted away from next to the vents, just use a flat screwdriver to release the ring shaped clip away from the dash...cheers Linz.
