G'day all, just finished my door handle mod, wanted your opinions on how it turned out, don't hold back, theres always tissues close bye. Hooroo.

looks good! have you used a clear-coat over the handles etc to prevent wear? thats the only thing i'd ever be worried about if i was spraying high-use items on the interior :?

Yeah did it myself, I first removed the handle, then cleaned with interior cleaner, then sanded with 200 grit wet & dry, then went to 400 and then finished with 800. Cleaned again, sprayed 5 coats of plastic paint in satin black and then couble coated with clear gloss. Next job will be the shifter im reckoning.

That's a peice of piss to do mate, did it myself aswell, get some Loctite Trim Cement (Repco or some other auto store - comes in a tube in a box), and get the vinyl, leather, fabric what ever you want to cover it with, cut out the size, leaving extra to roll over, paste down, put back on door - you just undo the staple things to get it off the door trim, and fold them back over to put back on.
