while trying the smartlock disable method (with the relay and white plastic) this morning, I managed to dissasemble the key barrel and modify the PCB, however i seem to have damaged something becuase it is very difficult to insert the key and it takes a lot of effort to move it to acc, and it goes no further.
Has anyone else had this problem?

and also, how hard are the barrels to replace, as i notice they are screwed on with no method of turning the threads.

its an EL Gli.

thanks!

The barrel can be removed by removing the steering covers an d putting the key in and turning it to acc position. Insert a cake skewer in the retaining pin hole and then slide the barrel out.
