i bought a set of undercar neons, i was going to put them on during the weekend and my girlfriend broke one of the side ones so i put one in the boot and wired it up to the normal boot light and put the other 2 on the back shelf thingy, and wired them up to the drivers personal light in the roof. i took the photos with my phone so sorry if they aint the best.

yes you can cut the ciggy switch off depending on the car u have there are little lights under the dash (both sides) i wired mine to them but u have to hide the neons otherwise they look gay. also put some uder the seats to face the rear. wire them to thei light in the back of the center console if not just to the door switch easy as took me an hour all u need to know is what wire is negative and positive. i take some pics tonight to show. its a easy job to do wire cutters and a set of crimpers.

I use to use the super bright Blue LED's from d**k Smith and run them in a daisy chain around the cabin it looks great evenly spaced around the roof trim! Another thought - they are really bright too

People keep saying that they cut their cig plug off and they all work fine so you can do it.

NO

You have to first find out if there is anything inside the plug its self.
If someone came here and said can i cut my cig plug off my nokia charger and hard wire it in??

people will say yes and then he will go do it and blame people here for f**k up his fone.

First OPEN it up to find out. Some neons are going to have a transformer in them and some arent.

HAVE A LOOK

if you are a complete noob at this then i suggest you go out and get some female cig plugs and wire it up.

Hey, i have a neon in the boot, and cut the cig plug. I disconected the boot light and pluged the positive and negative to the existing wires. I used Aeropro neons and they work fine, and have had it in there for over 12 months.

But there is any easy way to find out, cut it and plug it in. If it dosen't work buy a new one, depending on the size you get they won't cost that much anyway.

Have a good one

What stomper is saying is the transformer that powers the neon is sometimes in the cigeratte plug adn sometimes it is in the neon itself. If its in the plug it wont work if you cut the plug off. Always check the box first and if not sure ask someone!

done this before and yeah cut it off.... best look is to hide the actual tube and just get the glow happening, looks a million times better than a 15cm glowing stick. hiding it makes glwo the whole area.
