hmmm pretty sure mine turns off 100%, but being a led unless you leave your car for about a month then its not going to drain your battery (provide it dims down and is using even less power)

Keep in mind however, that any car always has a very small current running through it, so depending on how "sensitive" your LED is, it may or may not pick it up while your car is parked. |

ill have to really look at mine in pitch black, but i highly doubt it will chew battery power
