I have read quite a few posts over the last month or so about the problem you have when you put a Narva LED in your trip computer, that the search button will not light up but the other 2 do! To get around the problem you have suggested to put a single LED behind that button. Thats ok if you can solder.
I have found another way to do it. I had to file a V groove into the light difuser (about 5mm high) under where the search button is. Where you put the groove is critical to bouncing the light at 90 degrees up to the button.
Put simply i just tried to copy what they had done to the difuser to make the other 2 light up!

Here is a pic of my difuser once i had finished!

Just use a small square file to cut the difuser and then get some fine sand paper (800 wet & dry) and polish the scratches out that you put in with the file, being careful to keep it all square!
The top point of the V groove must be on the right hand side of the little piece that is sitting on the top, as you can see in the pic.
The more you polish this cut the better the light transfer

Here is the pic of the trip computer with all the buttons lit.

So there it is, all you need is the Narva LED, a file, sandpaper and some patience and you dont have to solder a thing!! :)

I hope this helps as some people cannot or do not want to go near this thing with a soldering iron.
