hey i need some photo shop ing done.
or some help i want to make some custom dial faces i have the template but i dont know how to change it? |

I want the base colour to be black or dark red( it has to be a dark colour to keep the led conversion from leaking through?) and maybe the fairmont logo across it.
I really like the way rew93n made his, not too cluttered. |

also for led conversion am i doing to need bulb holders?
and if so can i get them of an ef cluster? |

I really like the way rew93n made his, not too cluttered. It doesn't matter what colour you use, light will still manage to come through. Its more the material you print on (Photo paper, plain extra white paper, etc) and what type of printer you use. (high quality laser printers give the best results). Also, its good to use layers so that light only comes through the areas you want it to. The attached is a dash design im currently working on. Its not as good as others i'v seen on here but its basically what I want anyway. Its sort of FG xr6 inspired I guess. Not finished yet but you get the idea... You need EF bulb holders if your car is an EL. For some reason, in the EL they had the globe attached (or sealed) to the holder, so you can't swap them with LEDs

Those dials do look cool.
I want to remake mine like MADs style dials, WRX inspired stuff.

yeah they look sweet.
let us know whrn your done. as for the led holders i have an ef that i crashed a while ago and now i got a ford again i been rifling bits off it. so i guessni got clear needles and bulb holders

i dont wana start a new thread for simple question. can the rocker cover off my ef fit on my el? ef futura 6 to el fairmont 6 ? |

Yea that should be right. Clear needles are only really needed when you're changing to a colour other that white. Unless you want that all white look that is. I left mine the orange colour and I like how it turned out: its like a real bright fluro orange. But its really up to you and what you prefer. They're the same engine, minus the different ignition setup. Whats so good about your ef futura rocker cover? |

yeah i dont know what colour theme im going for in the led's yet.
depends on my dial dace aswell but its better to have the option. as for the ef rocker cover nothing speacial. i just rather pull that off and take my time with prep and do a nice paint job on it. rather then pull my el off and rush to get it done. although its already stripped and sanded awaiting paint.
