Just got a fire extinguisher and a speed alert for christmas. I need help with were to put them.

Fire extinguisher: I was thinking down between the drivers legs at the front of the seat. Has anyone else got one/ got any other suggestions as to where it vould go?

Speed alert: It is the same dimensions as the one in a VS commodore, if you know how big that is. I have no idea where it could go without looking cheap and tack on. Has anyone else got any suggestions as to where this could go?

Thanks

Nicco, no idea about the speed alert, but ive mounted my fire extinguisher onto the passenger side kick panel. Its out of the way of feet, but easy to get to if needed. By the way, send me a pm with your details, we should try to catch up some time, and get FM Cairns moving more:) Keep an eye out for my beast too, white LTD, sittin low and loud.

Yeah on the passengers side, if it gets in the passengers way who cares.

But definitely mount it, I recently had mine floating around behind the back seat and it managed to pull the plastic pin and slowly dump most of the powder behind the seat, lucky for me it went off slow, as it dump all the carbon dioxide and left some power still in it.

Mine is in the left rear corner of the boot, bolted in tight. Will get another one and put on right rear corner as I feel one is not enough.

Most ive seen are either in the boot mounted or in front of the front seats uner your knees.
Id prefer boot personaly but thats cos i wanna keep my interior looking clean n uncluttered.

becareful putting them on the passenger side at the front of their seat, if they hit the head hard enough with their feet as they get in or move around it will break off and vent everything inside the vehicle. Happened to a guy I work with last year ('04) f**k funny, white smoke coming out everywhere and they covered in dust.

Thing is though it cost quite a few $$$ to get it all detailed and get it out, it went EVERYWHERE!

Put your extinguisher passanger side on the tranny cover your passanger can also use it as foot rest as my daughter does, it also needs to be able to be got at in an emergency. If you are proposing to do any track work this is where it is recomended to be by cams. The boot is for storage..

I live in Cairns, no track work for me, however much i would like to!! :(

If it was in the boot though, couldnt that just be to damn difficult to get to? Not hard i know, but under the seat is just reach down...

If there were a fire. 95% of the time it'd be from the engine bay. So you would have to get out of your car, and spray in the engine anyway. Going to the boot, will take only 3 seconds.

When i get mine, i'm putting mine in the boot.
