I am looking at buying some racing seats off Ebay to put into my EL XR6 and am just wondering.. Do these seats just bolt onto the stock mounts?
How would i go about it? Cheers, Luke

should be engineered, 50 x 8mm steel plate. attach plate to rail seat to plate.

He obviously has EF/EL rails already, i doubt the seats will bolt direct to the rails through the original mounting holes- (you may be lucky tho.)

I gathered that seeing that he owns an ELXR6. He is saying do they bolt to the mounts. Does he mean the mounts on the floor or the rails? I take it that he means the floor mounts. Much easier to mod the seats to the rails than it is to mod the mount points or the floor mounts on the rails. |

I have been told that if you use factory rails and the seats are to AUS standards you don't need engineering. Don't quote me on that as I have not checked that out yet. May just apply to factory seats. |
