Hi everyone,

Hoping someone can help me with this.
My trip meter has been beeping and flashing 0 every time I start the car. I understand that this is because my fuel level is low (under a quarter of a tank). I press the reset button and it stops.

Its been this way for a couple of weeks. Nothing unusual. In the past I generally top it up to half a tank and everything goes back to normal including giving me the proper distance to empty reading.

So 3 days ago I filled it up to half a tank and nothing changed. The meter still beeps at me and flashes 0. And after I press reset the distance to empty still reads 0.

I would appreciate any ideas as this has never happened before.

Thanks

Stan

The fuel gauge is still working OK?

I'm not sure of a reset procedure for the trip computer. Maybe disconnect the battery of the car for half an hour to reset everything and see how that goes.

Mike

wiring or voltage problems.

while cranking all the voltage goes away from the interior and to the starter. when that happens the dash can get crap voltage. then the tank level will slowly rise as the buffeted reading is picked up.

i had it happen to me when the battery got too old and needed replacing. makes a world of difference too
