Hey all got a little problem with my rear demister on my EF, basically pic will tell you,

would simply resoldering it back on be ok or would it be dangerous of some sort.

I believe there is something you can buy that sticks it back on....

I did the same thing to my BA and then some kind person broke my back window...
Not a recomended fix... (geez its a bit breezy in here... OH F....)

So thanks to the kind person it was fixed....

Free screen replacement FTW :D

Grab a replacement from another screen - maybe wreckers, use a small chisel or whatever.
Reflow the solder on it, fit the connector.

Desolder the broken one - hold the new one by the connector, solder it on.
Few tips:
-Maybe use some flux to help flow and heat transfer quicker
-Use a low power iron, maybe 40/50W

The soldered area is like a circuit track on a cct board - don't spend too long with heat, overheating and too long with an iron will make it not tin.

If that does happen, you'll need some conductive epoxy, or maybe use a demister repair kit.
