I'm having rouble with removing my power window motor.

I have taken off the trim and the foam on the inside.

But i don't know how to remove the motor.
Is there bolts that need to be unscrewed. :?:

If anyone could help or has any pic of how to do remove it then it would help alot.

Cheers
Scott

If the motors have been in there from factory then there are 3 rivots that need to be drilled out. Once you have drilled out the 3 rivots the motor should come loose, but that's not all. You have to undo the bolts that hold the window. When the window is in the up position there are access holes close to the bottom of the window. There you should find 2 or 3 bolts that are used to clamp the window to the rail. Then there are 4 bolts that hold up the rail itself, 2 at the top and 2 on the bottom. Once you have undone all the bolts and rivots, you can just remove it through the large hole...maneouver it so that it comes out sideways.

Anyways when you put it back together, find 3 sets of bolts and nuts to hold the motor instead of rivots.

Hope that helps

phong =P~

Wind the window up first.
Undo the two bolts in the bottom of the window.
Tape the window to the top of the door frame to stop it sliding down.
Punch out the centre of the 3 rivets holding in the motor.
Drill out rivets with a 6mm or 1/4inch drill bit.

When replacing the motor assembly bolt it in with some 6mm bolts and nyloc nuts.

Oh yeah forgot about that =D.

Make sure you punch the little pin out first or else the drill will go all over the place :shock:
