ok so the little plastic rod latch in my passinger door snaped about 3 month ago when i got my sound system installed. it was playin up like crazy, when i unlocked my car the lock went up and down like crazy.
the part only cost me $4.85 from ford so im not to fussed.
the locks didnt sit flush after i had the system installed. the passenger lock now sits flat so im goin to change the drivers latch now so they both sit flush again.
so if you change your speakers in ur front doors be carfuly with the latch.

Hmmm, I've never snapped one, just also had trouble getting them to sit right with the lock knob that shows on the top of the door trim.

u pull the top lock piece off first

and to get them to sit flush.
Reset the clip back into the sniper button itself. Open the window and lock the doors, and then fit the sniper button.

there its an easy fix. but the latch only cost $4.85 from ford so if you take the doortrims off for the first time then just put new latchs on cos after 10 or more years they get brittle.
