Smart lock appears to be OK, flashes while car is off/locked. But when I'm driving the light stay on constantly but car drives fine.
Car is a bit of a frankenstein Factory it was an EB2 automatic fairmont. Now has XH 5spd manual, EL manual ECU, and a cluster from a different EB2 fairmont (my odo stopped so just replaced whole cluster, cbf with cog, cluster was only like $30 more than a cog anyway). Any ideas?  Doesn't affect operation (not that i've noticed anyway) it's just annoying

Mine rarely does the same thing. I think its happened twice now and as you say it drives fine but I'm also curious as to what causes it. If I remember right, the smartlock light flashes fast when starting the engine but then once running just goes back to a solid light.

Mines just started doing the same, as of like yesterday.
Flashes 3 times I think (slowly) then goes to a solid light.... not much help to you though lol. |

Try leaving the ingnition to on for about 10-20 seconds befor actualy starting the engine as this is how i made it stop on mine.
