Go to an auto shop they sell glue that is particular for this situation. I bought some about 1 month ago and it cost me about $5.

The glue is a two part mix - probably a container with a brush like applicator, which you bend to break the internal container which has the hardener.
The metal base should just need a clean up, along with the windscreen area - possibly best done carefully with a stanley knife blade, then give both surfaces a good clean. Glue your base and the windscreen, apply pressure for a few minutes, let it set overnight, back off the allen key grub screw, fit the mirror base, tighten grub screw . . . .

Trouble with aradite is holding it in place till it goes off. Mirror adesive give an instand hold like super glue, but retains its strength like aradite, as said it cost f**k all so better to use the right stuff.

theres a little silver metal piece that seperates from the mirror with the removal of one screw.. remove the silver piece, glue and tape it to the windscreen, and after a day remove the tape and fit the mirror.. and walla.. good as new :D
