My aircon in my AU is being temperamental, and only working at random times, ie it will blow nice cold air for various periods of time then will blow normal air. I don't know anything about the working of aircon but was thinking possible slipping of the compressor pulley? Anyone with knowledge in this area be able to she'd done light possible causes?

Gas was refilled and checked 2 days ago by mechanic and didn't find any leaks. It's a forte with manual aircon

Does it only die when you accelerate, i know you said random, but still.... My XG does something similar, but settles down when you get up to cruising speed. Mine just dies in the a** when your accelerating... You hit a slight hill and push the accelerator a tiny bit for more go, and the aircon dies. A tiny push of the throttle kills my air con

ive just notice with my aircon that my fans dont kick in when the a/c is turn on so maybe yours is something like this aswell. im not sure in the fans have different speeds on them but im pretty sure ive heard them working awhile back. im not sure where to start looking first on these things?

Fans work as aircon comes on. Is happening at complete random times, wish there was a pattern, would give me a start to troubleshoot

Does the aircon light turn off after a while . Mine used to do the same thing would work for a while then the light would turn off and aircon would just blow air , tried all the fixes like putting paper in the switch to keep it on and then just fixed the problemby pulling it apart and repairing it.

for anyone having issues ie: the dude that said when he accelerates the aircon craps out, if the system is a vacuum operated system check that the vacuum operated valve situated usually under dash or running from just off motor then into firewall is working correctly, missus's **cough** crapadore *cough* i mean commadore (calais) was doing the exact same thing then it decided it wanted to start changing vents on its own too only when accelerating, replaced car problem gone lol ( i wish ) na new valve all good
