noticed something on my 1994 ED XR8 Sprint the other day....

as far as i can find, the ONLY part of the trim that is actual leather is the passenger side headrest donut....the drivers side seat bolsters, the rear seat bolsters and drivers side donut are all grey vinyl..... WTF????

99% confident mine is full leather and cloth.... Leather cracks with age and on the high wear locations (drivers seat outside bolster) minor cracking / dirt in the cracks.. (before the big clean!)

from memory, its meant to be like the EBII Fairmont Ghias where it's half velour half leather. But cloth instead of velour in XR8 style.

If its different, it might've been a repair attempt, and if you only just noticed, they probably did a good job.

Cheers

thing is, the rear seat bolsters look literally like a factory job where the binyl has been cut and fitted with the beading with the wire in it....

Yeah, it definitely sounds like it's been retrimmed, cos it should definitely be leather. Damn, that'll kill your resale value...

Well Myself, ReGiE & Waggin have the FULL LEATHER SHIELD seats & as much as I like the middle trim of the SPRINT seats nothing COMPARES TO FULL LEATHER.

I wouldnt mind a sprint but it would have to have the seats from the GHIA.
Waggin is wreaking his car at the moement so if no bidders on his seats yet drop him a offer as these seats are to DIE for & nearly every meet I go to people say I WANT UR SEATS/INTERIOR.
