The window tint on three of my door windows is peeling, i'm thinking of getting them redone. What sort of prices would I be looking at for removal of the current tinting film and replacement? Could I remove the tint myself then just take it in and have the new film applied properly?

I just want a normal tint job, something that any local windscreen place can do, i'm more wondering what sort of prices I should be willing to pay for removal and retint of the windows, so I don't get ripped off. I've seen prices around $200 but they all seem to be for all round tinting and don't seem to include removal of the existing film.

My local Tint-a-car quoted me $75 to remove the existing thint and between $250-$300 (can't remember) for the tint/installation :)

Solartint is THE BEST tint I have ever seen, lasts and lasts and lasts, and it's very clear, no cloudyness. Top choice, worth it.

15% is darker then 35%.

35% too light for me.
