Hi Uniacidz, I had the same problem with my XH ute. I pulled the instrument cluster out and the air vent was loose going up to the windscreen. re fitted the bugger with some silicone and it has not rattled since. My wifes Subaru has a similar rattle but we think it is in the vicinity of the passenger air bag. No way I'm even thinking of going near it. Obviously the radio goes up at times. Cheers, AU055

Hey mate, did you find that rattle at all? I have the same type of noise, behind the cluster, and I've had it out and filled the dash with sponge and rags and the pr1ck of a thing is just as bad!

Could be a pair of ya missus ear rings
 (or yours  ) in the ash tray, thats rattling as you drive.  Like in the SUPER CHEAP addvert with the STUPID BOMBADORE

hey mate,
my friend had a similiar issue with his ef. In his it was the plastic panel that fits on top of the dash closest to the window. that has clips under neath and al lthe clips where broken. good luck.

Yep, tried that, I removed it and the cluster and it was still there  I shoved foam and rag around everything and it stopped for a couple of days then came back just as bad!

i had the exact same thing it sounds like its coming from the center air vents and mine turned out to be a lead going to the headunit i just worked it out when one day i took the headunit out and i put it back in and it stopped for a bit so i just played with the wires till it stopped permanently and haven't been gain to touch it since lol

Mine sounds like a 5 cent coin bouncing on top of the dash and varies between the tweeter area to behind the AC controls, and noticed today, it seems to stop in the rain?! Driving me nuts!
