there should already be a plug there for it. im assuming u have an ef/el xr8 which has a clock.
i have a ef gli and put a trip computer in, didnt need to wire up any sensors just plug and play ,but i did have to wire up 3 wires one for the trip computer data line from the instrument cluster plug and another wire from any power souce ( i used a ashtray light ) to power the background light and another one for the dimmer but i didnt bother with that wire . and my trip computer works perfect .

theres heaps of info in this doco
documents.php?d=32

cheers corey

U need to take the trip computer apart and under neath the screen or on top , I forget, there a orange filter which makes it light up orange , take this out and put some blue note pad paper in there , or white works fine , blue makes it brighter
