I am looking at putting an EF/EL interior in my ED, what would be better to use, EF or EL, and i am looking at getting a 'Mont or 'Mont Ghia interior, but first target is the dash conversion which would be better to use, EF or EL?

So EL would be best... how hard would it be to hook up the Climate Control and also the EF/EL trip computer, and how hard would it be adding factory cruise, and would i be able to use my non cruise Momo?

change as much as possible.
use everything from 1 car.

the more you change, the more everything just plugs into each other.
and don't mix and match looms it'll just cause headaches.

Main difference between EF and EL which no one has mentioned is that the EL dash has a passenger airbag which EF's didnt have (not sure about EL falcon though)
Also the radio surround/ash tray is different
the EL ash tray is better because the EF ones break easily from what i have seen
EL dash buttons are colour coded with the colour of the dash, the EF buttons are black
Same as Speedo/Tacho, EL is the same colour as the dash, EF is black with white writing
but other than that no difference

Well, also while i have the EF/EL dash sitting around (after i buy a write off) i want to paint it black, is there any difference in the dash looms on EF/EL and ED?

The EF's did come with passenger air bags. It was an option and IIRC came in higher models.

Go for the EF accessories because they have black buttons which means its easier to match with a paint that you paint the dash with.

Thats another thing you should do is to paint the dash the way you want. Pick a colour and go get the paint to paint it. Then it looks hot as.

But make sure you do it right. I hate when people paint the dash and they have the trip computer, buttons, CC and air cond vent a different colour to the dash.

Yea, i want to keep the mid series cluster (being an XR6, my ED already has the mid series cluster... but BOX style) and i want a black dash, and will also go along and do the tops of the door cards etc in black to suit better
